Reminder to Mystery Angels Please remember your special “little angel” as we begin this new year...the
children will be anxiously watching their mailboxes!

Shrove Tuesday  is February 16th.  Beginning at 5:30 there will be games for children and a Pancake and Sausage meal will be served for everyone. The meal time will end at 7:30.  Please sign up at the welcome centers or call the church at 757-3126.  "Bring  Friends!"

Lenten Schedule   Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17th.  That day the sanctuary will be open from 7 in the morning to 6:45 in the evening for you to take communion.  The elements will be available on the communion table and there will be devotional material for your use in a Quiet time with God.

First Sunday in Lent  February 21st, we will have one service at 10:15. This service will be a service of prayer and confession as we not only begin Lent, but embark into our Matthew 28 steps of faith to make disciples for Jesus Christ.

Lenten Renewal for Women  Friday, February 26th at 6:00. A dramatic portrayal of  ‘The Shunammite Woman’ told by well known Judy Smitley.  Come share a simple Lenten supper of bread and soup followed by the program

Youth Group Winter Retreat... “The Power & Pressure of Change!” at “Fox Hollow Farm”,  in Williamsport, the weekend of February 26th, 27th, and 28th. Leave from the church at 6:00 PM Return Sunday, February 28th by 12:30 PM Cost - $20 (financial assistance available, contact Pastor Steve) RSVP by Feb. 23rd to Jane & Craig (225-5839)
Please join in on this cozy and fun weekend at the Livermore’s farm where we’ll be discussing the impact of change in our lives and coping strategies. Along with presentations, group discussions and team break outs, and plenty of time scheduled for fun group activities and events. Details of what to bring and PUMC waiver forms
will be mailed or call the church office. Invite your friends who do not have a church or youth group to join
you. The more kids, the more fun!   * Parents: Donations of a few baked snacks and bagged goodies
for our weekend would be appreciated. Contact the Snyders.

 Prayer ShawlMinistry will be starting at PUMC. We will meet to pray and knit or crochet shawls for people in need. You do not need to know how to knit or crochet as we can teach you how to do this. If you would like to get involved in this new ministry, please contact Jane at 578-0007.

PUMC150th Anniversary Many events are being planned in celebration of this milestone. We are planning to have a pictorial directory done. If you are interested serving on a pictorial directory committee please contact the church office or Bev. Anyone who has memorabilia, thoughts, stories, pictures etc. about the church or information you would like to share, please contact Bev at 755-6508. Next committee meeting is Tuesday, March 9th at 7:00 PM at the church. Those on the committee and anyone wishing to help with the pictorial directory, please attend this meeting.

"It is Better to Give than to Receive"     The Missions Committee is supporting one of our local ministries, Helping Hands of York.  Items being collected are:  gloves, hats, scarves, socks, thermal & regular underwear, blankets, used coats.  Women's, men's and children's sizes needed.  Boxes are located at both Welcome Centers for collection of items.

Food Pantry     With many people without jobs and financial hardships, if you or someone you know needs help with food, our Food Pantry is available to help with those needs.  If you prefer not to call the office with your requests, please contact Jane G at 755-3683.
